Personification in "Lodged" by Robert Frost

1. No, they can't kneel, speak, or listen because flowers, wind, and rain aren't human.
2. Some of the effects of personification brings to this poem is providing a detailed description of the setting, bringing strong imagery into the readers imagination.
3. If the rain and wind and flowers were real people, I would describe it as the rain and wind bullying the flowers. I feel this way because the poem states how the flowers "lay lodged" after the wind and flowers "pushed and pelted" them.
4. If the flowers were real people, after the rain and wind pushed them down they probally felt saddened or misfortunate.
5. The speaker of the poem empathizes with the flowers because of his past experiences he has felt the flowers position in this situation.
